SEATTLE – Dell Inc. announced Thursday that net profit fell 5 percent last quarter, despite early signs that companies start to buy new computer can again.
Consumer separate low-cost laptops and Netbooks to in the holidays, the increase in sales of PCs from Dell by 29 percent. These products are less profitable, however, and Dell's revenue and earnings in the consumer PC business grew much more slowly. Dell Profit margin fell short of expectations and its shares up 7 percent in trading on Friday.
